How far can your contribution go?

EDUCATING A CHILD – INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION

• $50 will pay for education for one child for one month
• $600 will pay for education for one child for one year

• $2,000 will cover a teacher’s basic salary for one year
• $500 will cover course fees for one year of a 3-year continuing education program for a teacher to obtain a basic Ghanaian teaching certificate
• $7,000 per year will cover course fees and living expenses in Accra for a teacher to take a 3-year diploma course in Montessori early education

• $5 will give one student access to basic health care for a year through National Health Insurance
• $100 will give 20 students access to basic health care for a year through National Health Insurance
• $50 will provide one child a hot nutritious lunch for a whole year

• $10,000 will drill a water well and install a hand-pump
• $1,500 will pay for locally made water filters, soap, and cleaning materials

• $5,000 will purchase a complete set of Monessori materials for preschool (3-6 years)
• $10,000 will purchase a complete set of Montessori materials for Lower Elementary (6-9 years)
• $7,000 will purchase a complete set of Montessori materials for Upper Elementary  (9-12 years)
• $10 per child will provide writing and reading materials and other school supplies for a year

• $2,000 will pay for locally-made classroom furniture for the Grade 5 & 6 classrooms
• $2,000 will purchase furniture and books for the library

• $6,000 will buy solar modules, battery bank, charge controller, inverter and materials
• $500 will pay for an energy-efficient laptop computer for the solar-powered computer lab
• $2,400 will provide reliable internet access for a year
